For more than two decades, scientists and technology developers have attempted to improve ECL performance by replacing the first-in-class ECL luminophore ruthenium tris-bipyridine, i.e., [Ru(bpy)3]2+ with a brighter light-emitting molecule for ECL immunoassay.
Numerous light-emitting molecules have been designed, synthesized, and tested, but none has reportedly outperformed [Ru(bpy)3]2+ until we at Accucise Diagnostics demonstrated the superiority of our EECL immunoassay based on an electronically Neutral Ruthenium Complex (NRC).
